Victor Rojas
I’m a 4th year Ph.D. student working on solid state additive manufacturing advanced repair techniques for high strength aerospace grade aluminum alloys used on 5th generation aircraft. I focus on improving process parameters, bonding quality, microstructure integrity and mechanical performance on repaired components using the AFSD process. My work supports more sustainable solutions for point-of-need repair and corrosion maintenance. I bring a strong background in manufacturing and quality engineering from my previous industry experience that includes Lockheed Martin Space, Kimberly-Clark, and Johnson & Johnson. Outside the lab I enjoy rock climbing, mountain biking, long runs, and swimming.
